Canvey’s 2014 Christmas tree needed some urgent help, T.H Tree Services Style

Canvey town council called us with a unique festive problem, the Canvey Christmas tree was heavily leaning due to high winds. We received the call and was onsite within 2 hours for a visual inspection.

Clearly we could see the tree had suffered from the wind and placement of some Christmas lights, we provided a fast remedy. We advised the removal of the top 4-6ft to remove the weakened stem and reduce the wind sail effect.

With predicted high winds over the coming days the council realised that the tree was too tall and skinny thus unable to bear the wind or placement of the Christmas lights.

As you can see we in fact had to remove more than first anticipated as the Christmas tree still had a large bend in the entire stem. More drastic action was needed to save the Canvey Christmas tree.

Credit to the town council for trusting our advice, as you can see we lowered the hight of the tree further and reshaped the entire crown to retain that typical Christmas tree shape.
