T.H. Tree Services is a local authority and trading standards approved Essex tree surgeon.  This means we are approved tree surgeons for the local authority of Essex and its parish councils. We are also part of the Trading Standards ‘Buy with Confidence’ scheme.

These recognitions don’t come easily and we have to adhere to certain standards to achieve and maintain them. The Buy with Confidence scheme and local authority approval means customers of T.H. Tree Services can have total reassurance of the highest service level.

Meeting Local Authority Standards

Local authority approval doesn’t come lightly. These are the standards we’ve had to meet:

– NPTC and LANTRA tree surgeon qualifications

– Proof we’re up to with current legislation

– Proof of high limit insurance exceeding the average £5 million pounds liability

– Qualifications for operating chippers, stump grinders and all other associated tree surgery machinery

– Proof that all equipment is independently tested every 6 months with condition records to validate our insurance

T.H. Tree Services holds the LOLER (Lifting Operation and Lifting Equipment Regulation) certificate of climbing and rigging equipment.  What does this mean? Basically that all the equipment we use is CE marked and designed for the intense load bearing stresses caused by tree work.

Local Authority Approval means we are respected and trusted by the local councils of Essex. We really are delighted too to have been given acknowledgement for the condition in which we leave our sites and the friendly, courteous manner of our tree surgeons.

Trading Standards Buy with Confidence Scheme

The Buy with Confidence Scheme was created to help consumers find the right tradespeople. To become a Buy with Confidence member, you have to get through a set of rigorous checks. Any complaints history needs to be reviewed and you receive a visit from Trading Standards.  You have to present excellent references from past customers and agree to abide by the scheme’s code of conduct. Sometimes there is even a need for a criminal records check – so it’s obvious becoming a member of the scheme is no walk in the park.

Keeping up the Standards

What’s more, both Local Authority Approval and the Buy with Confidence scheme, once awarded, have to be consistently maintained, and this is no straightforward task either. Our conduct is continually monitored so the scheme providers can be sure we are continuing to provide a top class service.
