We also follow Arboriculture and Forestry Advisory Group (AFAG) guidelines for tree surgery work.

Tree Surgery and Tree Preservation Orders

It is important to be aware that trees of notable interest are likely to be protected by a Tree Preservation Order (TPO). The arboriculture department of your local authority will be able to help you check the TPO register so that you are in possession of the facts before you go ahead with any work. If it transpires that you do need permission then your application may take up to eight weeks to be approved.

If your tree is situated in a conservation area then special permission will be required before proceeding.
